Argh, Ruby Angel BLED. *cry* Of course I didn't discover it until after it was dry! It's sorta faint but still visible. I could probably fix it by stitching in another row of her dress as the pattern originally called for but but but!!! Maybe I could take some lemon juice to it...?
This makes me absolutely paranoid about washing FFVIII with all its red.

oh no! That's why I never wash my finished pieces!
ReplyDeleteCould you wash it again and pretend the fabric is a hand-dyed?
I'm a dirty, dirty girl so I must wash mine or be stuck with my own funk forever, haha! It was only in the one spot, so no, even if I washed it again, it wouldn't spread to more of the project. :< I thought about tea staining the whole thing but I wasn't sure how that was gonna look.
Delete:< Ho... maybe you should ask Lord Libidan on the sprite stitch forums, he made a post about stain removal : http://www.spritestitch.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4855

Haha, that post he made was definitely one of my "AAAAAA, MUST CHECK HERE FOR HELP"! I googled the heck out of solutions though. One day I'll learn to wash my reds before stitching! :S
DeleteIf you're going to tea stain then try fruit tea, it makes a lovely pink colour. Good Luck!
